Con Crunch the Cosplay
It blows me away at how viral Con Crunch was over the weekend of Katsucon back in 2019. I made the cosplay because I wanted to be silly and make something that everyone can relate to. I also wanted to make a point about how ridiculous the 'con crunch' is.
No cosplay is worth compromising your physical or mental health... its perfectly fine to wear unfinished cosplays to events or even postpone them to wear later.
I used to con crunch super hard for Katsucon in previous years (lots of super late nights working on cosplay, working on cosplaying in the hotel room, a lot of mental breakdowns). This year I kept my health in mind as I was crafting and realistically looked at what I had time to make and bring to the convention.
Always remember…. COSPLAY IS ABOUT HAVING FUN!
This year I focused on what it means to cosplay and I think that's why my convention experience was overall incredibly positive. Huge thank you to everyone who supported me and all the friends I made and ran into at the convention!
